Asambláž manifest vystavujících, které umělec Shalva Nikvashvili provede druhou letošní iterací As We Grow. Společně s vystavujícími zpochybní zažité umělecké struktury a osvobodí svá těla od studu experimentovat i selhávat. Jeho praxe se dívá na problémy identity prostřednictvím transgresivních pohledů na idiosynkrazii, vizuální zkoumání a modifikace aplikované na portrét.
As We Grow je náš 14denní vzdělávací a výzkumný program probíhající ve SVĚTOVA 1 a na field tripech do přírody, dílen, second-handů či dalších institucí. Jeho jádrem je mezigenerační dialog a související výměna zkušeností mezi vystavujícími vybranými z open callu a vedoucím umělcem*umělkyní. Každá iterace je jedinečná a navržena v dialogu se všemi zúčastněnými. AWG podporuje postoj k učení prostřednictvím tvorby a vyvrcholí skupinovou výstavou. V roce 2023 jsme program rozšířili a zaměřili na podporu začínajících umělců*umělkyň. Druhou letošní iteraci povede Shalva Nikvashvili (1990, Sighnaghi / Gruzie), usídlený v Německu.

Together, they will contest familiar artistic structures and free their bodies and minds from shame through both experimentation and failure. Nikvashvili’s practice looks at the identity issues through transgressive takes on idiosyncrasy, visual explorations and modifications applied to a portrait.

At its core lies intergenerational dialogue and the exchange of experiences between participants chosen via open call and a selected leading artist . Each iteration is unique and designed in a dialogue with all who are taking part. AWG encourages learning through making attitudes and culminates in a group exhibition. In 2023, we strengthened our AWG and focused on supporting early-career artists. The second AWG of 2023 is led by Shalva Nikvashvili (1990, Sighnaghi / Georgia), who lives and works in Germany.
